Roqia, a single mother raising two young children, faced the heart-wrenching loss of her husband in Afghanistan. In the wake of this tragedy, she displayed unwavering determination by advocating for women's rights in Afghanistan, even enduring imprisonment and torture. Throughout her journey, Team Themis stood by her, offering essential support in the form of housing, food, medical care, and educational opportunities for her children. Today, Roqia and her two children have successfully transitioned to a new life in Europe, and a hopeful new chapter in their lives.
